For those that do and do not know me, here is a little bit of a family update about what went on in our lives this past year ~
Christmas is past now, but just today I was reflecting 2018 and was overwhelmed thinking about all the blessings God has bestowed on my family and I this year. I just thought I’d share a little bit what that was like for us...
For one, finding out my dad’s cancer was gone has given us so much peace and joy knowing that our prayers were and continue to be answered in the healing/recovery process. For myself, having not one but two parents be diagnosed with cancer and both make it to remission is something that I will always be so so so thankful for.
As for my mom, I’m so thankful for her kind but firm advice and love for me when I was wandering in what felt like the unforgiving desert of my heart and mind. She has helped me rediscover my heart and passions that I have lost for many years. Words fail me to describe how grateful I am for her steadfast support on my rocky journey.
As for my bro, I’m so pumped to see Casey make it on to U of M’s gymnastic’s team! He’s worked so hard and accomplished so much to be where he is today. We butt heads all the time over silly dumb stuff, but our competitiveness has shown us how motivated we are by each other and I’m super excited to see where he ends up.
As the year wraps up, I have been very much reflecting on the many blessings that I have had this year and the downfalls, I’ve learned so much from those. Learning so much about myself that I’ve never fully understood before. I’m so so SO excited for the years to come and as much as 2018 has been topsy-turvy it really was a great 365 days.
